Mrs. Frankly and the three "little" Franklies accompanied me to Celebration Cinema tonight to view the new Jack Nickolson / Morgan Freeman film, The Bucket List.
It was an exceptionally good film. In fact, it was a great film (that superlative is for my friend, Ben). I won't give away any of the plot. I won't spoil the end. I laughed. I cried (a little), and when the credits rolled I was reminded that, in a world with too much sex and violence committed to celluloid, humanity is still capable of producing a good movie now and again.
Don't wait for the DVD. Go see this movie.
PS - I'm already planning a "Bucket List" sermon series.

Thanks Frank. We were thinking about seeing it, but Roger Ebert's one-star review made me think twice about it.
Yeah, I read the reviews after I got home last night and they all panned it. You know . . . too predictable, blah, blah, blah. Mark my words, Mike, this one is going to be a box-office smash, and one of the best loved flicks of the year. Critics be hanged. . .
This movie is anything but predictable!
The only thing that is predictable is Jack Nicholson's language.
Otherwise, It is a great movie!
We saw it this past weekend and loved it! There were so many great messages in the movie. I'm with you Frank, the critics just don't know what the public really likes!
